What our clients say
"Our shepherd used to drag me down the Deschutes River Trail. After the Foundations Program she heels past other dogs like it's nothing. Luis is calm, clear, and so good with her."
"We'd tried two other trainers for Bodhi's reactivity. Luis actually explained why he was reacting and gave us a plan we could follow. We can finally walk through Drake Park."
"The board & train was worth every penny. Our husky came home with a real recall, and Luis spent time teaching us so we didn't undo his work."
"Our new puppy was biting everything and potty training was a mess. Three private lessons in, the house is calm again. Luis is patient with the dog and with us."
"As a fellow vet I appreciated his no-nonsense approach. Structure, consistency, and a lot of heart. My rescue is a different dog."
"We can finally take Maple to brewery patios without her barking at every dog that walks by. She actually lies down and relaxes now. Unreal."
Frequently asked questions
What training methods do you use?
A balanced, practical approach. We reward the behavior we want, communicate clearly when something isn't okay, and always respect the dog's emotional state. Every plan is tailored to your dog's temperament and your goals.
How old does my dog need to be?
Puppies can start as soon as they're home, usually around 8–10 weeks. There's no upper age limit, either. Senior dogs learn new tricks all the time.
What areas do you serve?
All of Bend plus Redmond, Sisters, Tumalo, Sunriver, and La Pine. A small travel fee may apply outside Bend city limits.
Do you work with aggressive or reactive dogs?
Yes. Reactivity is one of our specialties. Every behavior case starts with a thorough evaluation so we can build a safe, realistic plan. For severe aggression, we may also recommend a vet visit to rule out pain or medical causes.
Will my dog listen to me, or just to you?
To you. That's the whole point. Every program includes coaching for you and your family, and board & train dogs come home with go-home lessons so the results transfer.
Do you guarantee results?
Dogs are living animals, so nobody can honestly promise a specific outcome. What we can promise is a clear plan, honest feedback, and continued support. Foundations graduates also get a free group refresher.
Do you offer payment plans or discounts?
Yes. Payment plans are available for the Foundations Program, Board & Train, and Reactivity Rehab. Military, veterans, first responders, and rescue-dog owners get 10% off any program.
What vaccinations are required?
Dogs should be current on rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. For Board & Train, we'll ask for vet records before drop-off. Young puppies who are still finishing their shots can start with in-home lessons.
